Kate Upton Calls Out MLB Cy Young Award Voters After Justin Verlander Loss

Kate Upton is angry. The supermodel famous for her Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover and Carl's Jr. commercial thinks that her fiance Justin Verlander was the best pitcher in the American League this year. So when Upton found out that Justin Verlander didn't win the Cy Young award this year, the buxom blonde went off.

"Hey @MLB. I thought I was the only person allowed to fuck @Justin Verlander," said Upton in a Twitter post, "What two writers didn't have him on their ballot."

Sick burn. Kate Upton has a great point. Justin Verlander was not only one of the most dominant pitchers in the American League, but in Major League Baseball altogether. Verlander struck out an American League leading 254 batters, while beating all other Cy Young contenders in ERA (3.04), WAR (6.6), Innings (227), and opponent batting average (.207). Apparently, that wasn't enough for a couple voters to even include on their ballot.

"He had the majority of 1st place votes and 2 writers didn't have him on their ballots?!!" continued Upton in another Twitter post, "can you pick more out of touch people to vote?@MLB"

Justin Verlander actually received the most first place votes in this year's Cy Young award vote and still lost. It was 22 game winning, Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello that got another win. This time it was for the American League Cy Young award. Porcello pulled it off despite receiving less first place votes than Justin Verlander, and finishing behind him in most statistical categories. Porcello became the first Boston Red Sox pitcher since Pedro Martinez to win 22 games (a major league high) and win the Cy Young award. Granted Pedro Martinez had a much better year, Porcello did have a ten game win streak to end the season, though he had help from one of the best offenses in baseball.

We're with ya' Kate.
