Donald Trump Wins 2016 Presidential Election

The 2016 election is finally over. After over a year of primaries, debates, and Wikileaks the citizens (for the most part) of the United States elected a new president on Tuesday. That person was Donald Trump.

And the mainstream media couldn't be more shocked.

Trump took a small lead out the gate and never let up throughout the evening. By the time all (but five) states had come in, Trump had a built a 254-223 lead, with the winner needing 270 votes. At this point, Donald Trump needed only Pennsylvania or Michigan to win the election, and rather than wait for the results, Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta told her crowd to go home.

Around 2:45 am (EST) Donald Trump was announced the winner of Pennsylvania, thus pushing Trump over the 270 point threshold needed to secure a win in the electoral college, making Trump the new President-elect of the United States of America.

Most people agree that it was a miraculous win.

When Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President last summer, it was a small press conference in which he paid a couple hundred people to attend. By the time the general election was held, Trump rallies were drawing twenty thousand people and fans were being turned away.

In steep contrast, Hillary Clinton had trouble drawing even a thousand people to one campaign stop in Ohio, a state that she lost. The Ohio rally featuring Lebron James only drew around three hundred people.
