No way!
Wayne’s World will show nationwide on February 7 and 8 (hosted by SpectiCast and Paramount Pictures) for a special 25th anniversary showing featuring an introduction by film critic Peter Travers, as well as a pre-recorded discussion with director Penelope Spheeris and cast members.
To help celebrate, the city of Aurora, Illonois is marking the anniversary with a six month celebration. "Party On! 25 Years of Wayne's World" will span February 3rd through July 4th, and feature several events before culminating in a July 4th contest, where there will be an attempt to establish a world record for the largest number of people headbanging to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen before the firework show.
Excellent!
In case that doesn't excite you, Paramount will release a Wayne's World double feature DVD on February 14th. The film's iTunes edition will also include added digital extras like a director's commentary and making-of feature.
