Watch: Donald Trump Prepare For The White House Cold Open

Kristin Wiig returned to her old stomping grounds, Saturday Night Live, last night. This time she was hosting. Saturday marked the former SNL stars second time hosting, this time dawning a shorter haircut and looking a little aged. 

Because the world needs more 'Gillie'?   

A down episode featuring former SNL characters that weren't that really funny to begin with, from a time period when SNL was pretty bad, the second post-election episode had yet another cold open featuring Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump.

In the sketch, Trump is preparing his presidency by taking several meetings including one with Mitt Romney (played by Jason Sudeikis). After meeting with a top army general Donald Trump begins googling. "Siri, how do I kill ISIS?," Trump (Alec Baldwin) asks his phone, "This is a blackberry."

The shows portrayal of Donald Trump has been criticized by many, including the president-elect himself. “I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night," tweeted Donald Trump, "It is a totally one-sided, biased show – nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?” 

Donald Trump had made news earlier in the day when he criticized the cast of the Broadway hit Hamilton. "The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior." tweeted Donald Trump yesterday after a viral video showing the cast of Hamilton reading a special message to Mike Pence after the show.

While Alec Baldwin is merely a bad actor on an agenda comedy show with sometimes-funny writers, if the sketch "comedy" show is going to make a political statement, then a response is definitely warranted. To the dismay of many, it's looking like SNL's sleazy portrayal of Donald Trump will continue with Alec Baldwin at the helm for the rest of the season.

Saturday Night Live is milking the latest election as long as it lasts, so it should come as no surprise that the long-running sketch comedy show is parodying the most recent debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
