Korn have returned with the third music video off their new album, Serenity of Suffering and it's for Take Me, which is track number six on the new album.
If you let it consume you....there is no escape.
The Take Me music video is based in maybe an old mental hospital or creepy warehouse. Like something you might see out of the Hostel movie or American Horror Story. Jonathan Davis is at the center of the story, waking up strapped to a chair with an un-trusting doctor loading up a needle, probably to use on him.
Behind Davis the members of Korn are jamming in separate sealed rooms. Brian Welch and James Shaffer are masters at adding the heaviness to the simple groove beat by drummer Ray Luzier and bassist Fieldy. The low deep tone of the song is the only recent Korn song comparable to Need To, which not alot of Korn songs have come close to replicating, tone wise.
Vocally, Jonathan Davis is mixed to have higher spiritual singing than on the majority of Korn songs. You could argue the spirituality is similar to Daddy, Trash, or Narcissistic Cannibal. And I'm not complaining. Take Me is arguably the best Korn music video to date. It's certainly is the darkest Korn video since Shoots and Ladders. Did we forget to mention the video has worms? Alot of worms.
