Presidential Inauguration: Donald Trump Sworn In As 45th President

Donald Trump was sworn in as the new President of the United States of America today. The ceremony happened just after 12 pm eastern time.

"January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again," said President Donald Trump in his inaugural speech. "The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before."

#MAGA.

"From this day forward, it’s going to be only America first, America first," explained President Trump. "Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs."

"Together, we will make America strong again," proclaimed the President. "We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And yes, together we will make America great again. Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America.

One estimate had 900,000 people in the inauguration crowd, which was about half as the 2009 inauguration featuring Barack Obama. However the atmosphere of this years inauguration was much more hostile.

The tolerant left was at it again, as loony rioters took to the streets of Washington D.C., violently attacking Trump supporters like James Allsup, local businesses, and even the police.

So many so that many people decided to watch the inauguration on tv or online, away from the visiting rioters. Many rioters flew in from other cities to disrupt the inauguration by blocking access to the event, inciting violence, setting fires, vandalism, and destruction of property (among other things). All things that didn't happen in 2009.

Other than that, the inauguration event went on without a hitch.
